šŸ„Šāœˆļø The One Move to Reclaim Space

Late—but not dead. Do this when they’re already inside.

Hey Warrior,

I watch a lot of street fight videos. Probably more than I should.

And the same damn thing happens over and over…

Someone gets loud. The other guy tries to ā€œstand his ground.ā€

Next thing you know, they’re practically nose-to-nose.

At that point, it’s not self-defense—it’s survival.

You gave up every advantage by letting them step into your space.

And it drives me nuts because the fix is so simple.

Want a reset button?

Here it is.

Why You Panic

Often times we allow those who violate our space to remain there.

Why?

Well, when someone’s too close, your brain scrambles.

Your body's yelling MOVE!

But you freeze—because there's nowhere to go. No leverage. No plan.

The panic doesn’t come from the person—it comes from the lack of space.

You can’t see. You can’t breathe. You sure as hell can’t fight.

But you can reset.

If you know what to do.

Frame and Drive

This is where the frame comes in.

Forearm up, elbow tight, palm posted on their chest or shoulder.

It’s not a push—it’s a barrier.

Add one solid step back with your feet—like you mean it.

Boom.

You just bought a second of breathing room. Maybe two.

That second?

That’s your decision time.

Strike. Escape. Reposition. Up to you.

And yeah—sometimes you’re too late to even frame clean.

If you’re grabbed or pinned, you’ll need something else first.

But if your hands are free? This is your get-out-of-jail move.

Your Homework

Grab a partner.

Start chest-to-chest. On a clap or other signal, build your frame and take one hard step back.

Freeze.

Check your posture:

  • Elbows bent

  • Head off-line

  • Wide, stable base

Do 10 reps each.

Start slow. Then add pressure.

Don’t get caught up trying to create distance by pushing your partner back.

Your partner might not budge.

The goal is distance—not domination.

Super important!

Once you make that space—hold the damn frame.

Don’t give it right back.

Stay dangerous.
