Ugh… that’s so boring and basic.

I know wrist grabs aren’t the most glamorous, and at times can seem like the least useful of techniques.

But there’s actually, some really good reasons to master them.

Now, you might be thinking “Come on, it’s just a wrist grab. I can handle that.”

Look, I get it, we all want to learn the fancy, superhero-level moves. Drilling wrist grabs is just…well…underwhelming.

But here’s the thing warrior - wrist grabs are one of the most common attacks you’re likely to face out in the real world.

Oh come on, you can’t be serious?

…so you see, it does happen.

What’s so dangerous about wrist grabs? On the surface they may seem tame, but when someone has your wrist it opens up a whole world of possibilities for them.

They control you. They can pull you, hit you, or take you somewhere dangerous.

They can twist your arm, hyperextend your elbow, pull you off balance, take you to the ground, or break your wrist.
