š„āļø Mob Attack? Fighting Back Won't Work
Youāre not Jack Reacherāhereās your real survival strategy.
Hey Warrior,
I have a lot of kids. š¬
My best estimate is that thereās about 1 million of them running around the house.
JK. Thereās only 5, but they sound like a million.
Yesterday I got to watch one of the most interesting dynamics that tends to happen in larger families.
My two daughters were nitpicking eachother. The oldest picking on the youngest mostly.
One of the boys decided to join in harrasing the youngest.
Then the strangest thing happenedā¦
Both girls turned on the boy.
My wife and I laughed, āNo one picks on my sister except me.ā
Mob mentality?
Which begs the question. What do you do if youāre surrounded and being attacked by a mob?

Being surrounded by attackers is one of the worst possible situations.
Youāre not Jack Reacher
Hereās the tactical realityā¦
ā¦if you find yourself completely surrounded, trying to fight everyone at once is a losing game.
Youāre not Jack Reacher.
You canāt swing at all sides without leaving yourself dangerously exposed.
Youāre going to have to cover and protect yourselfā¦
ā¦especially your head and vital areas.
Yes, you'll take some hits, but the goal here isn't victoryāit's survival.
So what do you do?
Just stand there and take a beating?
Drop to the ground?
No.
Your first moveā¦
⦠quickly identify the weakest point or smallest gap in the crowd.
Then, in one sudden, explosive movement, burst through that gap with everything you have and sprint to safety.
What if Iām against a wall?
Thatās even better.
If possible, you want to position yourself against a wall rather than standing in open space.
Having your back to a wall reduces the directions attacks are coming from.
It also gives you more leverage to remain standing.
But donāt stay there too long. You donāt want to get pinned.
Before you goā¦
Rememberā¦
ā¦the goal isn't to win the fightāit's to escape it.
Keep your guard up.
Stay sharp.
Spot your exit.
Stay dangerous,
ā Paul Simoes
